Alignment/Hierarchy

The first week of this semester was to focus on Hierarchy and Alignment. we were asked to create a theatre poster for the play 'Private eyes' with the assets given.

Hierarchy
Hierarchy in design focuses on the importance of text. so the most important text may be larger and more visible because its deemed the most important info, and the eye needs to notice that first.

Alignment
Alignment makes sure the text is perfectly placed in align with another piece of content or that is pleasing to the eye.

Research

I found these posters I liked that I feel focus on the alignment and hierarchy focus this week, making sure the title is visible to the viewer and that its the main focus of the poster!

My First poster design

I feel like my first poster design wasn't as good as it could of been, Im new to graphic design and was trying to learn the software. I tried my best, I feel like I need to improve on my alignment of the text to make sure that its not just placed anywhere and there is some form of order in my design.

my feedback was positive that the font I used was interesting. but my hierarchy needs to be more polished and clear.

Final Poster

After my feedback I re did my poster and tried to improve my skills!
